Bhu Naksha AP: Check Land Maps (భూమి మ్యాపులు)
If you own land in Andhra Pradesh, knowing your Haddulu (boundaries) is essential to avoid Bhala-dhur (encroachments) and Vivadalu (disputes). The AP government provides these details through the Meebhoomi and Bhu Naksha portals.
What are these documents?
- Bhu Naksha (Cadastral Map): This is the digital Pata (Map) of the entire village.
- FMB (Field Measurement Book): This is the most important sketch for a landowner. It contains the exact Kolatalu (measurements) of your specific Survey Number.
- LP Map (Layout Plan): Usually used for Pattana pranthalu (urban areas) or approved ventures.
Why do you need an FMB Sketch?
- Gattu Vivadalu (Boundary Disputes): If a neighbor moves the boundary stones, the FMB is your proof.
- Aasti Ammakaalu (Property Sales): Buyers will ask for the Map to verify the extent.
- Bank Runalu (Bank Loans): To get an Agri-loan, banks require the FMB to confirm the land's existence.
